4myBenefits Announces Strategic Partnership with GobraGuard

4myBenefits, Inc., the leading benefits communication platform on the web, has entered into a strategic partnership with Kansas based CobraGuard, Inc. Through an interface in the administrator menu of 4myBenefits.com, employers can outsource their COBRA obligation.

The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 ("COBRA") mandates that employers with 20 or more employees in the prior calendar year are required to provide COBRA continuation coverage under their group plans. COBRA has evolved over the years and now includes group Medical, Dental, Vision, EAP, FSA, and even some voluntary plans like Cancer Plans and Mini-medical plans. Human Resource professionals have struggled for years trying to keep up with the laws, the timelines, tracking their participants, reconciling their bills, and managing enrollments.

Through this alliance, tremendous efficiencies are passed on to users since the census data and benefit plan information have already been collected by 4myBenefits, Inc as part of the enrollment process. The information is then integrated with CobraGuardŽ through a secure file transfer directly into their proprietary CobraTrak™ application. The services are priced on a similar per-enrolled-employee-per-month fee added to the 4myBenefits invoice paid quarterly by customers.

“Each of these applications are extremely powerful on their own and afford clients huge time savings, efficiency, and affordability,” said Robert Meyers, President and CEO of Cobraguard, Inc. “Putting these applications together is like a dream come true for overburdened HR and Benefits people. Systems are only as good as their ability to manage data the way the user desires,” said Meyers.

“Our systems work very well together and create efficiency in Human Resource departments that they have never had before. The other amazing thing about CobraGuard is that they are 100% pure COBRA administration. They do not compete with us or our brokers in any way,” said Lauren Patch, President of 4myBenefits. “We’re excited,” said Patch, “and so are our Brokers that represent us. It saves our clients a great deal of time and money.”

About 4myBenefits

4myBenefits, with headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio, is a leading vendor of online benefits communication services for small to large employers. Founded in 1999, 4myBenefits has been the forerunner in developing a service-oriented business model that delivers affordable, high-tech HR and communications solutions specifically tailored to each client’s needs. Working as a single URL for employees to locate accurate benefits plan information, link to providers, financial planners and their own retirement plan information, 4myBenefits allows the small- to medium-sized employer duplicate intranet services including a daily bulletin board, at a fraction of the cost of building it themselves. Through its 4my2ndPaycheck module, the employer’s contributions toward the benefit plans are graphically depicted as a second paycheck helping employees to understand the true value of the benefit programs, including 401(k) matching funds and paid time-off. Other 4myBenefits alliances allow many of the Human Resource administrative functions to be outsourced, enabling professionals to concentrate on training and employee development.
